Stella is a sweet rat terrier mix. She is 32.4 lbs and about 2 years old. She was rescued by her amazing foster dad from the border or South Texas near the Rio Grande River. All Stella wants is to be loved and cuddled, but she wasn’t always so trusting. Before getting rescued and knowing the luxuries of an A/C unit and having a comforter to sleep on, she was surviving by the river on scraps, pieces of trash and river water. It took a few attempts to earn her trust, but her foster dad finally got her on a rainy day with some potato chips and a little bit of patience. Stella is a fire cracker and is known for her “kangaroo jumps” to express her excitement. She even knows a few tricks to score some treats from her foster parents! Stella is a great listener and is willing to learn for her future family. She catches on to rules very quickly and cannot find her fur-ever home fast enough.
